| Q. What is SNAPforSeniors? |
| A. SNAPforSeniors is an information and technology company that specializes in the collection and publishing of high-quality, current and comprehensive data on licensed professionals and senior serving organizations in the U.S. Founded in early 2005, the company began by developing the first and only data system of its kind to accumulate, standardize and publish detailed profile information on more than 60,000 senior housing facilities. That database and the associated search tools are now featured on the websites of more than 50 national organizations, collectively serving 9 million consumers a month. In late 2008, the company began expanding the collection and profiling of its national database to include other provider types beyond senior housing using the same quality and data standards. Today, the company manages the largest national provider network of senior serving professionals in the country, covering more than 20 different classes of local community resource professionals and organizations. In early 2010, SNAPforSeniors began collaborating with Univita Health on the development of the first national preferred provider network based on quality indicators and negotiated rates for assisted living, home care, durable medical equipment, adult day care and home monitoring services. The launch of the program is scheduled for summer 2010. SNAPforSeniors’ mission has been to deliver quality, tailored information to empower families and their advocates to make better choices for senior transitional care and services. Today our operations encompass a broad array of data gathering, profiling and provider quality metrics gathering initiatives. We have built and manage a complex process of vetting and data validation as well as trusted source management for more than 500 unique sources of provider licensing and verification. SNAPforSeniors has built a national reputation for data excellence and is regularly invited to present at industry conferences, write articles for trade journals, blogs, newsletters and other consumer publications. SNAPforSeniors is headquartered in Seattle, Washington and also maintains offices in Texas, California and Florida. |
| Q. How does SNAPforSeniors get their information? |
| A. SNAPforSeniors aggregates data on senior servicing providers from more than 500 disparate sources on a regular refresh basis. These sources include federal, state and local data sources, licensing data, accreditation data and trusted partner data. This information then goes through a standardization, normalization and manual review process before being published. In addition to basic provider data, we invite all providers to submit self-completed descriptive standardized profiles on their business or facility. These profiles are then vetted and matched against known licensing records in each category of care provider, if relevant. SNAPforSeniors maintains the most comprehensive collection of current data on senior service providers in the U.S. today. |

| A. SNAPforSeniors serves multiple markets. Its Alliance partners and licensees include many of the largest and most respected organizations serving seniors in America today including the Alzheimer’s Association, National Association for Area Agencies on Aging, the National Council on Aging, URAC, Blue Cross Blue Shield Federal Employee Program, the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers, the American College of Health Care Administrators, the Case Management Society of America, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Society of Certified Senior Advisors, National Association of Senior Move Managers, AGIS and Univita Health. Our service platform works with clients in three major categories: Commercial Licensees: For-profit commercial organizations that wish to source the best and most current information on providers in key categories for internal or consumer-facing use can license our data through a data licensing agreement. We offer hosting and website development for major commercial portal partners as well. Examples of leading reputable organizations using SNAPforSeniors provider data with their call center operations for sourcing and screening local resources include Ceridian (the largest employee assistance program in the US serving 23 million employees), Univita Health (who operates Long Term Care Group, a leading third party administrator for 45 long term care insurance companies serving over 48,000 beneficiaries) and Nation’s Care Link (performing nurse assessment and care plans for older Americans).
