From a Distance
Dedicated to serving the needs of long distance caregivers. Are you one of the 6.9

Caring from a Distance is an independent, non-profit organization. They take
no referral fees from service providers.

Locator
A public service of the U.S. Administration on Aging. The Eldercare Locator connects
older Americans and their caregivers with sources of information on senior services.

Caregiver Alliance
The first community-based nonprofit organization in the country to address the needs
of families and friends providing long-term care at home. FCA now offers programs
at national, state and local levels to support and sustain caregivers.

Association of State Units on Aging
An association representing the nation's 56 officially designated state and territorial
agencies on aging. The mission of the Association is to advance social, health,

The National Center on Elder Abuse is dedicated to educating the public about elder

Hospice and Palliative Care Organization
The mission of the NHPCO is to lead and mobilize social change for improved care

Home Compare on medicare.gov
A tool on medicare.gov whose primary purpose is to provide detailed information
about the past performance of every Medicare and Medicaid certified nursing home
in the country.
Senior
Services (King County)
The largest non-profit agency serving older people in Washington. Established in
1967, the agency serves over 50,000 seniors and their families each year through
an integrated system of quality programs and services.

Veterans
Affairs Aid and Attendance Special Pension
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is reaching out to inform wartime veterans
and surviving spouses about an under-used, special monthly pension benefit called
Aid and Attendance. This benefit may be available to those who have in-home care
or who live in nursing homes or assisted living facilities.
